Lemon Juice and Acne

Lemon juice contains citric acid, which is one of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids. It works by sloughing off dead skin, promoting skin elasticity and enabling new skin cell growth. It also flushes out pores and keeps your skin feeling fresh.

Lemon Juice Topical Recipe

  1. Clean your skin.
  2. Squeeze 1 teaspoon of lemon juice into a small bowl. Use a cotton ball to soak up juice. (Dilute with water if it burns.)
  3. Dab the juice onto pimples, whiteheads and blackheads.
  4. Leave on over night, rinse upon waking and apply again in the morning.
  5. If you find the lemon juice too strong too leave on, even diluted with water, wash it off after 10 minutes with cold water.

Note: Acne is a result of an imbalance in the body.  If acne persists, add an Egyptian Liver Cleanse 3-4 time a week, at least once a month. Drinking a ‘green drink’ daily nutritionally supports the body as well as aids in detoxification.
